Blackwood Animal Hospital wins the Gloucester Township Economic Development Award for 2016!
The 16th annual Gloucester Township Economic Development award was presented to Blackwood Animal Hospital on April 21st 2016. The award recognizes the hospitals commitment to Gloucester Township. In attendance at the award ceremony was Gloucester Township Mayor David Mayer and Orlando Mercado from Economic Business Development. Dr. Stephen Euler, Dr. Tara Duffy, and Judi Russo attended the award ceremony representing the Blackwood Animal Hospital staff. Also in attendance were the Gloucester Township Police Chief and multiple business owners from the community.
The award recognized Blackwood Animal Hospital’s nearly 50 years of service to the Gloucester Township community. Blackwood Animal Hospital opened as a full service veterinary hospital in 1967. After overwhelming community support, the hospital moved just one mile across town to a new larger facility located at 612 North Black Horse Pike. The four doctors at our hospital have over 76 years of experience dealing with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. Preventive care is our primary focus, but internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and radiology services are available. In order to provide even better service to the community, we recently added a talented groomer to our team.
In recognition of the work many non-profit rescues provide to the community we have begun providing low cost spay and neuter services for their animals. If you come to visit, make sure to check in with our own homeless cats and kittens in our adoption room. They are eager to meet you and have the chance to find their forever home!
Blackwood Animal Hospital would like to thank the clients and pets that have made our business a success. Please come by and see us. We are excited to meet your furry (or scaled) friend! See the video made in our honor below.
