Blackwood Animal Hospital has been providing compassionate service to the surrounding community since 1968. The original hospital was located a mile south of the current one and was owned and run by Dr. Cameron Argue until 1972 when it was purchased by Dr. Bertram Lipitz. Under him, the hospital grew and became a well respected part of the community. Upon his retirement, he sold the hospital to Dr. Stephen Euler in 1999. As the list of furry patients expanded, it became obvious that a more modern facility was needed. In April of 2006, the doors of the current hospital opened to the public. To further support the needs of homeless pets, an adoption area was added. The cats and kittens up for adoption entertain our clients as they wait for their appointments. Throughout the years, the goals of our staff and doctors has always been to provide personalized, competent, affordable care to our animal friends.
